Jill Schofield – Fully Qualified Counsellor in Stockport
If you are looking for a counsellor in Stockport with a fresh and engaging approach.

Jill Schofield
I chose to become a counsellor because I have experienced first-hand the positive results of one to one counselling in my own life. I now want to provide the same level of help and support to others who struggle with emotional issues that affect or burden their everyday lives.
I am based in Marple Bridge and my counselling sessions are a held in a safe and calm environment where you will feel able to open up and talk to somebody who listens, who understands how you are feeling and can help. I am completely impartial which means you are able to explore and express your true feelings and opinions in a fully supportive setting, without fear of judgement or reprisal.
An effective approach to counselling
I use a combination of therapeutic approaches (such as Person-Centred and Psychoanalytical) during my counselling sessions rather than limiting myself to just one. This gives me the freedom to tailor-make every session and choose the most suitable course for every client based on their specific needs and wants.
My role as C ounsellor is to find the most effective and suitable method for my client; always with the aim of helping find a clearer level of self-awareness as I believe that reaching this point substantially improves mental well-being and helps to stimulate personal growth.
